Teaching Career Wins Over Footlight Fever
Retiring MHS English teacher Mrs. Sally Bailey reflects on choosing teaching over Broadway. Influenced by her father and marriage, she earned a teaching degree from Chatham College and taught at Lawrence Park High School in Erie before joining MHS after a 22 year gap. She emphasizes close reading and comprehension for aspiring lawyers, has taught every English level, and notes freshmen and sophomores are more fun.
