Hamlett Backs School for the Deaf Vocational Building

Rep. Hamlett press for a $2,656,670 allocation in the capital improvements budget to renovate and expand the School for the Deaf at Fulton. The plan adds 52,000 gross square feet of vocational space with upgraded machine shop and auto body facilities to serve about 200 students with 20 teachers. He argues the project is more pressing than delaying funds from a $14 million prison appropriation to future use.
