Mexico Bulldogs, district champions, beat Community R-6 Trojans twice in a Wednesday doubleheader. In game one Mexico built a 7-run lead, then held on for an 11-9 win by pitcher Greg Miller. Gerry Albus took the loss. In game two Mexico prevailed 10-0 behind strong hitting and pitching, with Bobby Bridgford earning the win and Terry Mayes the loser. Tom Spurrier led with five stolen bases across both games as Mexico ran 13 steals and extended their win streak to eight, improving to 10-6 ahead of Friday's 4:30 p.m. twin bill with Rolla.
