Jasper Missouri craftsman Saylor J Neher, 86, pursues 40 hobbies from wildflower collecting to woodworking. He rises at 5 30 am for exercises and a long practiced cold sponge bath, eats a fixed breakfast, and runs Hobby Craft Farm life while donating most of his collection to colleges. He aims to reach 100, has a teaching career dating to 1913 and a master’s in botany.

Laddonia WOC held a birthday meeting at the Presbyterian Church with 22 pounds of used clothing sent to Columbia by Mr. and Mrs. Clay Andrews. Reports from May visitors, lessons on Eph. 4:17-32 and Eph. 5:1-20, and a slide on missionary needs were shared. The Arbela Chapter No. 12 OES met with District Deputy Grand Matron visiting. invitations for May events and a list of attending members were noted. Next meetings set for May 11 and 18 with various hostesses and programs.

The Wellsville United Methodist Women hosted a Mother's Day breakfast drawing 75 attendees including mothers, daughters, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Mrs. M. W. Berger presided, programs on motherhood were presented, and choir members performed under Mrs. Donald Shoup. Special memberships were awarded, and corsages were given to several members. An upcoming meeting at New Florence on May 10 was announced for those attending.

Paris Jaycees met on April 28 to reset the Walnut Grove Cemetery entrance sign moved for widening the entrance and to place the sign at the side. They also planned a chicken barbecue fundraiser on May 14 and May 21 at 10 a.m. at the IGA west parking lot.
