Bicycle Beats Car In Rush Hour Race At UC
In Cincinnati a ten speed bicycle edged a 1959 car in a 4.2 mile race during Bikecology Week. Les Gesell, UC physics graduate student, finished two minutes ahead of Jerry Bonecutter, an industrial supervisor. Gesell attributed the win to clearing stalled traffic and catching all green lights.
