Opened ceremony for redecorated Cook's and new office site
The ceremony opened for the redecorated Cook branch led by manager Dave Griggs and district salesman Vork with mayor Warner Williams and chamber officials in attendance. The large redwood corner house at Calhoun and Monroe now slated as an office for Dr. R. L. Willis, following remodeling. Built by J. Robert Boatman in the late 1920s, designed by G. L. Betteher of Denver, the eight room home has housed Mexico's girls workers since 1929 minus a brief period with boarders. The project involved Miss Mabel Grafford, longtime owner, and future buyers.
