U S District Judge Elmo B Hunter prohibited moving the Air Force communications unit from Richards Gebaur Air Force Base near Kansas City to Scott Air Force Base near St Louis. The suit was led by Mr and Mrs Robert L McDowell with Local 211-27 and Jackson County officials, arguing housing, schools, transportation, and recreation would worsen for affected personnel.
