Ambulance Licensing Law Left Open To Court Challenge
Missouri lawmakers failed to fix technical flaws in the ambulance licensing law leaving it vulnerable to a possible constitutional challenge. The bill sought to expand the title to cover drivers attendants and other first aid providers, drawing support from concerns about titles matching subject matter. Rural opposition argued license costs could burden small ambulance services, while officials said many counties are already moving to meet requirements and most services comply. Mr and Mrs Gary D Knipp welcomed a seven pound eight ounce son at Audrain Medical Center, Auxvasse. Cadet Kevin Hamlett, son of Ray and Mrs. Hamlett, won the E Company marksmanship medal at Missouri Military Academy commencement May 3.
