Missouri Supreme Court Decision Clears Bond Residency Issue
The Missouri Supreme Court, in an 8-2 ruling, let Christopher Bond remain on the August 8 primary ballot while addressing two questions about his residency. The court will decide whether Bond retained Missouri residency despite living out of state 1960 to 1968 and whether the state constitution violates the U.S. Constitution by requiring 10 years of residency for auditor and governor candidates. Bond praised the decision as a relief to voters and supporters.
