Take Your Pick In a Poke Baker-Schaaf Race

Jefferson City reports a Missouri attorney general primary between Democrat George Schaaf and Rep. James Baker. Both tout criminal justice reform and stronger anti trust enforcement with differing views on how to lead the office, fund reforms, and interact with the legislature. Baker emphasizes a non political, merit based staff and self funding. Schaaf seeks an administrative liaison and more aggressive public advocacy, while both clash over anti trust and consumer protections. A birth notice for Bobby Dean Moore's daughter in Vandalia closes the piece.
