Jefferson City to Hold Missing Persons Search Campaign
Jefferson City, Chamber of Commerce and Cole County Court back a missing persons search funded at 141 dollars to publicize via newspaper ads and a mail coupon. Cordell, executive secretary, says the 1970 census undercounts city population, potentially costing money in federal and state allocations. The effort aims to raise Jefferson City’s counted population, now about 31,921 per the census, possibly over two thousand more.
