One day registration eyed for 18 year olds by 1976

The Selective Service plans a one day annual registration for men who turn 18 the previous year. Draft Director Byron Pepitone says thousands of volunteers will staff local sites to avoid lines. About two million 18 year olds may skip registration this year due to President Ford's April proclamation.
