Missouri attorney general hopeful outlines crime reform plan
James Baker a Democratic attorney general candidate in Jefferson City proposed a five point program to reform Missouri’s criminal justice system. The plan calls for shorter sentencing ranges uniform penalties speedy trial act parole board limits new medium security prisons in St. Louis and Kansas City and a minimum jail standards bill. Baker faces George Schaaf in the primary. Elton John named in $500000 slander suit in Atlanta over hotel removal claim with Grassie alleges humiliation. Hilton Hotels also named as defendant.
