The Missouri forecast calls for clear to partly cloudy warm and humid conditions with a chance of scattered thundershowers mainly east, highs in the 90s today and Sunday. Audrain Medical Center lists recent admissions births dismissals and a death, plus a highway accident near Highway 19 and BB. Public safety reports include windshield damage and a stock market bulletin with several company quotes.
Kenneth J. Willer age 26 of Quincy Illinois died in a collision between his truck and a car on U S 61 near New London Missouri. Michael L McCarty 19 of Canton died when his car left U S 61 north of Canton and overturned multiple times.
A 16-year-old Hannibal boy named Mike Yager died when he fell from a trash-packer truck which overturned onto him as the vehicle stalled climbing a hill. The driver said he backed toward an embankment after brakes failed without power. In a separate brief, Leslie and Mrs Walton of Montgomery City report the birth of a six pound 11 ounce daughter at Audrain Medical Center at 5:30 AM.
Sue Davidson a 16 year old from Melbourne Australia spoke at a Rotary Club meeting at the Mexico Country Club. She is part of Rotary International Youth Exchange and shared slides about Australia and her views on American life.
Funeral services for Emma May Grimwood 79 will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home Wellsville conducted by Rev. Clarence Smith. She was born May 21 1895 in Ohio and died Friday at Audrain Medical Center. Survived by husband Elmer W Grimwood five sons Clif ford Paul Robert Theodore Kenneth eighteen grandchildren thirteen great grandchildren two infants died in infancy Visitation Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in Montgomery City Cemetery.
Dr. C. D. Squiers 54 buried Sunday in Auburn Alabama is survived by wife Kay Baker, daughter Susan Squiers, sons Martin Dale and Ralph Glen Squiers, two grandchildren, a brother Carl of Mexico, and sister Mrs. Stanley Yager of Centralia. He had led Auburn University animal and dairy sciences since 1950.
Funeral services were held today for Dr John A Owens Sr at Love Street Christian Church. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery with Mrs Jim Randall as organist. Active pallbearers included Leo Pasley and others. honorary pallbearers were physicians from Fulton and nearby cities. Arrangements by Arnold Funeral Home.

Testimony ended in the Houston mass murder trial of Elmer Wayne Henley as the defense chose not to call any witnesses. Henley, 18, faces murder charges for six of 27 teen boys found dead last year in the Houston area. District Atty. Carol Vance said the state rests after 25 witnesses in five days. jurors will hear final arguments next Monday.
