Famous Cottonwood Springs Found By Two Young Ledger Reporters
Two Ledger reporters trek from a farm near Centralia to a long-abandoned water trough and spring site along a rail line to confirm Cottonwood Springs. They describe old landmarks, pasture paths, muddy cow trails, and faint signs of cottonwood despite years of farming, pipeline work, and heat, concluding with hopes for future preservation and a Fourth of July note to readers.
