Intensive Hunt On For Bomb Planters
The FBI leads an intensive nationwide hunt for Weather Underground members linked to the State Department bombing in Washington and an attempted bombing in Oakland California. A federal task force, including a large share of the Washington field office and agents nationwide, pursues the group believed to have fewer than 30 members. Authorities note hoaxes and actual bombs, with the Oakland device exploded harmlessly. The Weather Underground members, once the Weather Underground, surfaced after 1970 indictments. The group发布 bom bs in protest of U.S. involvement in Southeast Asia.
