Defense Argues Liddy Not Burglar In Watergate Case
In closing arguments Watergate defense lawyer Peter Maroulis conceded G Gordon Liddy led a political intelligence operation but denied burglary or wiretapping. He said Liddy gathered information to warn of violence and that moving the Republican convention from San Diego to Miami Beach was based on his client’s information.
