Marshall Loses HSA Headquarters In 9-8 Vote
In Columbia Missouri the Saline County town of Marshall with 1200 people lost its claim as the Area 2 Health Systems Agency headquarters. An 18 to 12 vote changed bylaws to relocate headquarters to a location to be designated later, a move seen as favoring urban areas in northern and central Missouri. The action hinges on the planned funding application and a $499 880 budget request to the federal WHA. The application will go to Governor Bond for approval on Monday with an effective date of April 1 if approved.
