Writer Says CIA Planned Second Cuban Invasion

New York AP reports journalist Tad Szulc claims the CIA planned a 1964 65 second invasion of Cuba aimed at assassinating Fidel Castro. Szulc says the scheme collapsed in April 1965 after U.S. troops entered the Dominican Republic, with $750 000 monthly disbursed for six months for the project codenamed Second Saval Guerrilla. Moyers says he never heard of such a plan though he recalls a 1964 proposal to use frogmen against Castro vetoed by President Johnson. In other news church and state matters are noted with administrative shifts and amendments to reporting political contributions.
