Snow May Top Rain's Ice
The new year's first rain brought a 1.1 inch downpour and an ice coating across surfaces. Temperatures hovered near freezing, keeping ice from melting while roads stayed slick. Forecasters expect rain to change to snow this afternoon, ending tonight with colder lows in the 20s and a chance of more snow tomorrow.
