Space Center Houston AP reports Comet Kahoutek, long hidden by solar glare, should be visible to skywatchers after sunset tonight and especially Saturday as it climbs away from the sun. Astronauts Gerald Carr William Pogue and Edward Gibson have closely tracked its tail from orbit and say the comet will be brightest between Venus and Jupiter with 45 minutes of viewing after sunset.

Five Hot Springs Buildings Burned
Five business places were destroyed in a Tuesday night blaze in Hot Springs Arkansas. Firefighters battled the flames for about three hours in 19 degree cold. no injuries were reported. The cause was undetermined, with an investigation underway. Sun Oil Announces Gasoline and Fuel Price Increase

Charles E. Chip Bohlen a top level diplomat and Russia expert died of cancer at age 69 in Washington Hospital Center.
