Mr and Mrs Ernest Jewell of 109 Skyline Village will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 4 pm open house at the Knights of Columbus Hall following a 1 pm Mass at St Brendan Church. Their children include Robert Jewell of St Louis Ron Jewell at Kenrick Seminary Richard Jewell and Janet Jewell at home. Betty Koch former wife of Mr Jewell. He is employed at Sad Sam's Discount Center. The couple request no gifts.

Holliday residents celebrate Mr and Mrs Hughes on their 40th wedding anniversary with a farm party attended by children and grandchildren. Three More Historical Sites Added To Park Board List
Audrain County Historical Society researchers add three sites to the Missouri State Park Board Register. Tom Bass monument at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico honors a famed horse trainer born in slavery in 1859 and died in 1934. Rex McDonald’s grave marked by a monument at the American Saddle Horse Museum lawn. A historic home at 405 N Abat St once housed James N Baskett, writer and author of At You Alls House. New members include Mrs Minter K Bragg Las Vegas Nev Mr and Mrs David Moore Mr and Mrs James Price Richard Smith Mrs C B Johnson Mrs Doris Holliday Wellsville. Hawthorne Cub Scout Pack No. 87 met in the school gym with a flag ceremony by Den Three. Cubmaster M. G. Hobelman announced the Blue and Gold banquet on Feb 15 at Mexico High School cafeteria and Pine Wood Derby on March 11 at Mexico Armory. Awards were given to multiple dens for denner, wolf, bear, and Arrow of Light honors. Skits were performed by Dens One and Seven led by den mothers. A cradle shower honoring Mrs. William Allen was held at Lockewood Park Baptist Church with forty six guests in attendance.
