Danforth Pleased in Abortion Ruling
Missouri Attorney General John Danforth welcomed a federal court ruling upholding most of the state's abortion law. The decision preserves parental and spousal consent requirements for minors and prohibits saline amniocentesis after week 12, while striking down a provision to keep alive a fetus born of abortion. Danforth indicated the ruling may be appealed and could attract Supreme Court review.
