In a Mexico Audrain County Library study session, Mrs Paul C. Smith and Mrs William Fairchild reviewed The Heart of India by Duncan Forbes and Nature Man and Technology by Barry Commoner. They discussed India’s heart as its people endure hunger and hardship and warned of postwar pollution from new technologies and harmful by products, citing LA air, Illinois earth, Lake Erie water, and radioactive fallout as examples.

Be-Bo Bouncers Club Meeting Highlights and Plans
The Be-Bo Bouncers 4-H Club held a Monday meeting with 21 members and nine visitors. Dena Smithey led pledges, Daniel Talley gave devotion, and a Foods Four demonstration on Funny Face Franks was shown by JoAnn Helwig Natalie Talley and Dena Smithey. A skating party and money making project were planned. Project reports covered Knitting Four Knitting Two Knitting One Foods Four and Photography Two. Adjournment by JoAnn Helwig and refreshments by Mrs. Wiley Talley followed. Meanwhile Mr and Mrs Robert Lee Stephenson and son moved to Kansas City for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. engineer position after his Missouri University graduation.
