SEDALIA, Mo. Sixteen persons were arrested on charges of illegally selling controlled substances from marijuana to heroin. One suspect was held in Dallas on heroin charges in Pettis County. Others were released to juvenile authorities or held in Pettis County Jail. The roundup followed indictments from late last month and a Daw enforcement investigation begun in August. arrests occurred in Sedalia and Pettis County. In a separate note, Fred LaBrunerie of Columbia was named to the Missouri State Council on the Arts, succeeding Thomas Mills.
