President seeks extended jobless benefits in 1975

Gas Station Attendant Shot To Death In Foristell
Foristell Missouri police report an 18 year old gas station attendant, Jeffrey Collett of O'Fallon, was found shot in the restroom after an apparent robbery at Skyline service station on I-70. About $300 missing. A 1963 or 1964 Chevrolet seen leaving the scene. Foristell lies roughly 30 miles west of Saint Louis.

Marshal Urges State Fire Code
Jefferson City AP reported Missouri state fire marshal Robert L. Morrison urged a state fire code and a state fire prevention bureau to enforce it. He cited multiple fire deaths in Monroe City Osceola and St Joseph and said Missouri lags in arson investigation fire prevention and training. Two More Sextuplets Die in San Jose
In San Jose California two of the sextuplets born prematurely two days ago died despite intensive care. A girl died at 3:00 a.m. and a boy at 8:05 a.m. both weighed about two pounds. The remaining three infants are stable but with guarded prognosis. Mother Charlotte Lange used Pergonal during pregnancy. Father Alvin Lange spoke of financial worries and surprise at the six births. The sextuplets were born after a 45 minute delivery period.
