Army Clears Gen Abrams Of Charges In Vietnam
Secretary Resor finds no evidence Gen. Creighton Abrams knew of or concealed mistreatment of prisoners during the My Lai area incident. The dismissal comes after Sgt. Esequiel Torres accused Abrams of condoning abuse and torture in Chanh Luu. Previous charges against Gen Westmoreland were also dismissed. The AP report by Peter Arnett described water torture and implied unwitting involvement by Abrams. The Cosmos 381 satellite launch and Lasater speech at Missouri-Rolla are also noted in brief.

Disposal of leaves and plant refuse in many areas prompts a simple guide.
