Mexico Community Chorus Presents The Messiah at First Presbyterian
The Mexico Community Chorus under Gerald Valet will perform Handel’s The Messiah at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the First Presbyterian Church, in its 11th annual staging sponsored by the Abbie Llewellyn Snoddy Music Club. About 60 singers from Mexico High School groups, ages from teens to parents, rehearse Sundays for two months with Dr. Heinz Arnold as organist and general director. The performance, a near four hour work in three parts, begins with the birth prophecy and moves through the Savior’s suffering, with the choir praised for precision and unity even during a Sunday encore practice.

Mrs. Robert Young formerly Carol Moore will be honored at a December 10 shower at 7 30 p m in the Santa Fe Community Center.
