Cutrate Car Deals Ending For Senators
The Senate Ethics Committee bans future cut-rate auto leases that let senators drive Linogitt Continentals for 750 a year. The panel found some senators and a Senate officer had leased cars under special terms, with no proven wrongdoing. Ford GM and Chrysler acknowledged promotional leases. chairmen and senior members benefited, not ordinary citizens. The committee urged ending the program with the current leases.
