Miss Carnahan and Myers Vow in Palmyra Church
Miss Martha Ann Carnahan and Larry Dean Myers of Palmyra were married at 7 pm Saturday at Palmyra United Methodist Church with Chester Pulliam officiating. The bride, a granddaughter of Mrs. Kenneth Gegner, wore a white satin peau gown with Chantilly lace and a lace-edged train, and carried white daisies and yellow accents. The couple will reside in Palmyra after a wedding trip to Ontario, Canada.

Library Receives Missouri Library Bittersweet Subscription
The Mexico High School library is one of 300 Missouri libraries to gain a year’s Bittersweet subscription funded by the Missouri State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment on the Arts. Bittersweet is produced by Lebanon High School’s grades 10 to 12 students in a special English class and aims to document Ozark lore and people for nationwide circulation. The Miscellaneous club met with Mrs Leona Pearl Fecht presiding, opening with a hymn and prayer as Mrs Jessie Jenkins read devotion and Mrs Hilda Elam reported a trip to Germany with Charles Rose singing a solo.

Mr and Mrs F O Hinton of Martinsburg finish a 15 day tour of the southwest with stays in Minden Nebraska Grand Junction Colorado and visits to the Wesley Paddock family. Mark Penick returns home from two weeks with grandparents in Tl. Mrs Michael Fellers departs for Augsburg Germany to join her husband Spo Fellers after duty in Germany and visits with Ingebritson family in Centralia Mexico and Hatton. Mrs Fellers completed service as a WAC Sp4 and will accompany her husband on his tour in Germany.
