Liquor by the Drink Issue Sparks City Vote Debate
Local group led by Ralph Niehaus campaigns to call a special election under Chapter 311 to decide liquor by the drink in towns with under 90,000 residents. They argue current controls fail to curb drinking and favor economic gains from license fees, claiming fees could fund streets and traffic control while reducing intoxication, litter, and open containers in vehicles.
