Pornography Law Would Shield Young
Washington AP The President's Commission on Obscenity and Pornography outlined tentative recommendations calling for repeal of laws banning adult Americans from purchasing or possessing pornographic material. It argues protections for children and against unsolicited exposure, while noting no warrant for government controls on materials for adults. The draft report, not yet approved, cites Denmark's approach and says adult access would not be severely altered. A $2 million study by Congress underpins the commission, with a hearing planned to scrutinize its findings.
