Woman's Souvenir Gift Full Of Illegal Cocaine
A 74 year old woman, Mrs Partlow of East Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, was arrested in Miami after customs found about one quarter pound of cocaine woven into a Colombian rug she imported from Bogota. Three hundred tubes hidden in the rug released white powder when unwrapped. She was released on 10000 personal recognizance. preliminary hearing set for August 27.

St. Clair said ten of sixty four conversations were never recorded due to a missing device on a telephone. COLUMBIA The state board of probation and parole denied Jerry Lynn Stout's parole application. He pleaded guilty in January 1973 to manslaughter in the Columbia killing of Judith Frieders and is serving a 10 year sentence. He has been at Moberly prison since September 1973. The Monterey Restaurant on Highway 54 south of Mexico will open a cocktail lounge with liquor by the drink in its dining room beginning next Tuesday. Under a new law effective Aug 19 any restaurant with $100,000 annual gross or a motel or hotel with 40 rooms and a connecting restaurant may sell liquor by the drink. The Air Park Restaurant on Highway 54 east plans liquor by the drink opening date later than Aug 13. Gasper's Restaurant at the truck stop in Kingdom City has no plans for liquor sales. The Monterey lounge, The Attic, will be on the first floor with attic decor, and liquor service will run 11 am to 1 am Monday through Saturday.
