Open House For Smiths On Golden Wedding Date
A large turnout of friends and relatives marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith on Sunday April 15 in Bellflower. The couple, longtime Bellflower residents, were married April 18 1923 in Olney by Rev J S Eames. They spent early years in Denver before returning to Bellflower and settling in their present home. Their daughter Kathryn and family helped plan the event with several grandchildren and nieces assisting with the welcome table and cake. A display of four photographs highlighted the milestone, including the wedding picture and a 1920 Bellflower High School graduating class photo. The Smiths enjoy traveling in a camper and their grandson Curt Kirtley captured photographs during the afternoon.

Happy Circle Senior Citizens Meet At Walters Home
Mrs Lon Walters hosted the Happy Circle Senior Citizens gathering Monday afternoon with Mrs Katie Iman presiding. Devotional readings were given by several members and Ernest Cosier performed recitations.
