Auction Will Aid Churchill Memorial in Missouri
A benefit auction will be held next September 29 in a small Missouri town to support the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library. Charles W. Riley, local attorney and chairman, says proceeds will fund completing the museum and library near the rebuilt St Mary Aldermanbury church, moved from London in 1962. The event, patterned after the region’s antique auctions, invites Missourians to visit the historic site and bid on antiques to aid the internationally known program honoring Winston Churchill and his Iron Curtain speech delivered nearby.
