Fourteen Juniors Initiated Into Local NHS Chapter
Fourteen top junior initiates joined the National Honor Society at McMillan High School. New member Mark Wilson becomes the 1192nd NHS member since the chapter began in October 1925. NHS officers and sponsors, plus Mexico schools superintendent Donald Palmer, participated in the initiation ceremony.

Friedberg Scholarship Announced at Mexico High School
The Paul Friedberg Memorial Scholarship funded by the FCA and Don Green offers $200 to graduating seniors at Mexico High School who plan further education and have strong participation in school athletics and community activities. Applications due April 25, 1975, in the guidance office. recipient announced May 27 at the Awards Assembly.

Scheduling For 1975 76 Will Begin On April 14
The 1975 76 enrollment schedule starts with the Junior class. On Monday April 14 incoming seniors are called from class for enrollment forms. Tuesday at 7:30 pm parents meet with counselors to ask questions about classes credits units and more.
NHS to Celebrate 50th Anniversary at Mexico High
Mexico High School marks the National Honor Society’s 50th milestone with a Sunday April 20 reception in the cafeteria. The event features a reenactment of the initiation ceremony, performances by Razor Blades and The Clip Joint, decorations in blue and gold, and a display of NHS memorabilia.

Students Attend Convention at Missouri Jesse Hall
Ninety five MHS students attended the state Latin Junior Classical League convention at Jesse Hall on the University of Missouri campus. The group traveled on two buses and had the largest representation among Missouri clubs, featuring the skit Blazing Togas starring Brenda Mudd and a host of teammates.
