Muny Announces 55th Season With Bolshoi and Revivals
Robert Hyland, president of the Municipal Theatre Association, unveils the 1973 season for Municipal Opera. Highlights include the St. Louis premiere of The Bolshoi Ballet August 13–19, plus revivals of South Pacific Fiddler on the Roof and Lorelei. The season features Don Ameche Evelyn Keyes Ann B. Davis in No No Nanette and stars Mary Travers in South Pacific, with Busby Berkeley production numbers and a Broadway slate including Gigi Seesaw Lorelei Trene and Two Gentlemen of Verona. The Bolshoi Ballet returns for seven performances and Trene stars Debbie Reynolds joins the roster. The run extends beyond Labor Day to meet anticipated demand.
