Millan Quiets Card Rally With Sharp Ninth Inning Play
Mets second baseman Felix Millan, amid two near miscues, made a pivotal ninth inning play to erase a St. Louis threat and seal a 5 4 victory at Busch Stadium. Millan's glove toss on a bases loaded ball preserved the win as New York clinched its fourth straight road triumph. Bud Harrelson praised the young infielder while Millan conceded two missed double plays but credited his late heroics and Milner’s early homer for the margin.
