Foreign Cars Take Bigger Market Share
Detroit reports suggest imports may seize a record share of the U.S. auto market in March as foreign makers post strong gains while U.S. sales fall. Analysts cite absence of widespread rebates and March’s low selling rate, with imports seen rising well above February levels and possibly surpassing the 22 percent mark set in 1971.
