Dig Shaft to Oil Formations Planned in Texas Basin
Illinois syndicate led by J R Cox plans a six foot diameter circular shaft 17 miles NW of Toyah Texas to reach oil sands. Net earnings after deductions reach 164 461 409 a record, versus 84 620 931 in 1919. Surplus income on preferred dividends equals about 40 a share on new 26 par stock, or 160 on old 100 par.
