Mexia High enrollment tops records as classes form
Mexia High School enrollment on Tuesday reached 387 with 126 freshmen the largest freshman class in the school's history. Principal E H Poteet expects rising numbers to push Mexia High into Class A. Grammar school registration partly complete with riders added for McKinney and Sumpter wards. Rural students are being bused in for the new term as football workouts begin with 37 candidates and more expected.
