Freestone County sheriff seeks two escapees and missing car
Freestone County deputies report two jail inmates, Red Robinson and Jimmy Chapman, escaped the Freestone County jail around 2:30 am. They stole a green 1973 Ford with decals and a police radio, plus two 22 caliber rifles. Robinson is 32, 5 6, 150 pounds with red hair and blue eyes. Chapman is 30, 5 9, 150 pounds with black hair. Both considered dangerous. The men, held on burglary and felony theft charges, may be headed toward Corsicana or Oakwood, with initial sightings near Buffalo fading. The department notes decals and lights were removed and radios could transmit on other frequencies. A separate theft involved a small white trailer home stolen near Fairfield.
