Police hunt an 18-year-old boy believed to be the victim's companion after the body of a man about 50 was found in a Gatesville area automobile. The car had an Arkansas license and the man, possibly named Jackson from Joplin Missouri, had a motion picture machine in the vehicle. The companion is at large.
A new anaesthetic called ethylene is shown at the American Medical Association meeting in San Francisco. Researchers Luckhardt and Carter tested its sleep effect on carnations and animals before attempting human use. They claim advantages over ether and chloroform including no nausea, rapid recovery, and safe operation after meals.
In Lubbock Texas on June 26 testimony in the Tom Ross trial was completed and the judge will instruct the jury this afternoon. Attorneys may plead into the night to allow a quick verdict. The Milt Goode case will be called immediately with largely the same witnesses from sixty four West Texas towns and counties.

Six automobile bandits robbed two Southside cigar stores and a bakery on the Chicago street, stealing about $8,000. They carried a bakery safe containing $5,000 from Louis Silversmith, then entered Peter Stout’s store and fatally wounded the manager as about fifteen customers panicked. fourteen men in Silversmith were robbed of valuables.
Detroit officials announce an experimental air freight service between Cleveland and Detroit starting July 1. Three all metal monoplanes with cargo capacity 1500 pounds will fly a direct 90 mile route, making twelve trips.
