Last Rites Held for Soldier Ernest T. Rogers
Funeral services were held at New Hope Church for Pfe. Ernest T. Rogers of Jowett Texas killed in Normandy France during World War II. He served in the 99th Infantry Division after enlisting in 1941 at Camp Barkley and later joined the 90th Division. He died June 18 1944 at age 29. He is survived by his parents and a sister Mrs. Walter Cox of Farrar. Interment was at New Hope Cemetery with Riddle Funeral Home in charge.
