Four arrested near Mexia on marijuana possession charges
Houston area residents were arrested Saturday afternoon on Highway 64 east of Mexia after Trooper David Eldridge stopped a car driven by 19 year old Paul Deane Pettijohn of Alvin. Four occupants, John Raymond Guzman, age unknown, Charles Conrad Pergier, 24, and Sheryl L. Brodeur, 24, all of Houston, were charged with possession and jailed before transfer to Limestone County jail.

Vehicle Wreck Causes Extensive Damage on Weekend
