A Standard Rate and Data Service market study shows Limestone County households boosted income and spending over the past year led by food purchases. Local grocery and eating establishments accounted for about 29 cents of every retail dollar, with notable outlays for cars, clothing, home goods, and furniture as national data echoed stronger consumer activity.
Mayes County District Attorney Sid Wise said the week long Camp Scott murder probe has not produced suspects or a murder weapon. Investigators are being reassigned outside the area as laboratories cooperate and polygraph tests continue. The three Tulsa and Broken Arrow girls were slain on the camp’s first night and Camp Scott remains closed.

Kenyan daily report claims Ugandan President Idi Amin is missing after a weekend assassination attempt. Kampala officials denied the report while an Entebbe resident said Amin is unaccounted for. Radio Uganda mentioned a possible refugee day event in western Uganda.
