Revived Ku Klux Klan Dissolved By Court Order
In Atlanta on June 13 the Ku Klux Klan was dissolved by court order. Superior Court Judge Bond Almand granted the Klan’s request to dissolve its charter after Georgia state officials led by former Gov. Ellis Arnall filed suit to end the organization. Grand Dragon Samuel Green witnessed the decision and agreed to drop the fight, ending the postwar Klan revival that culminated in a Stone Mountain initiation on April 9, 1946.
