Plane Falls In Atlantic Rescue of 37 Surviving Crew
In a night sea crash 37 men were rescued after a plane ditched in the Atlantic 220 miles northeast of Mayaguana. Coast Guard cutters and planes chased the search as crews were flown to port. the dead included five found floating near the scene and 34 of the 61 workers from Puerto Rico.

The Texas Board approves a 4.6 million dollar Mexia State School project as part of a 6 million dollar state institutions budget for next year. Funeral Services Today For Former Resident of Mexia
Funeral services were held in the Corley chapel at 3 p m for Thomas Ho Davis 73 a former Mexia resident who had a veterans burial at Gaulsport. Weldon Hamill officiated burial was in Mexia cemetery with Carley funeral home in charge.
