Booze Laden Ships To Be Seized By The U S

U S customs will seize foreign or American ships entering U S waters to flaunt liquor ban inside the three mile limit. Treasury officials ordered officers to sharply define which vessels are subject to seizure. In other news, 44 people were killed and 127 injured in weekend accidents across 39 cities, with Chicago leading fatalities at eight.

Fort Worth June 4 Marshal Spoonts former district attorney died at his mother’s home early this morning. He was well known in Mexia and had oil promoting ties during Texas oil boom years. He faced federal indictment over oil promoter investigations and is survived by his widow two sisters and a brother.

Book Company Puts Motion Before State in School Texts Case

On June 4 the American Book Company seeks a writ of mandamus to force State Superintendent Marks to honor contracts signed by the State Text Book Committee last December.
