The Rev. Gray Blandy of Austin will conduct 1 o'clock communion services at Christ Episcopal Church in Mexia on Sunday morning, as announced by Mrs. W. W. Mason.

Two men died and three others were injured in a two car collision in east Austin early today. Victims were John L. Prado 29 and Matiss Garcia 41, both of Austin. Others listed include Stella Akins and Parson Michalka. a four year old child was among the injured who survived.
Murphy plans Murphy's Motel on East Milam Street Mexia between Ross and Red River. The 12 unit facility includes 10 single and two double units plus an office and living quarters for the operator. Foundations underway with concrete blocks tile veneer and asphalt roofing. Expected completion by late March with air conditioning and central heating installed and garages between units.

In Chicago doctors used a scalp flap to cover Rodney Lee Brodie’s brain during a 2 hour 15 minute operation. The 15 month old and his weaker twin Roger Lee are central to the procedure. Rodney’s flap seeks to reduce cerebral infection risk while Roger remains in a deep coma thirteen days after separation.
